Seven Storms

Seven Storms
Demon, praise you for the key you stole. You raised the rusted hatch to release my maker for all to behold. I say I’m alone but I got you. Seven storms and a shelter made out of thorns. Demon, praise you for yesterday’s swarms. I say I’m alone but I got you. Seven storms, storms stirring spears. Seven storms, thrown through the years. Oh, Demon. Seven storms, frozen in fear. Oh, Demon, I got you.

White Bluffs

White bluffs won't ever let me leave, I am stranded in the sands that see no sun, where stolen stones are arranged in the shape of the lowly. My heart won't carry this load, it breaks yet it begs me for more in the end, in the end I've wasted everything I've had. White bluffs won't ever let me let it go unknown in the sands that see no sun, where borrowed bets are the only way to get ahead. There's a hole where hell used to be, the crooks and the cutthroats dance in the end, unharmed. My feet don't move to no beat, they sink to the deep with my soul in the end, in the end I've wasted everything I've had. And it gets worse, it's not the first time I'm pushed behind by my own red-stained hands. Burn my faith away but leave my name unscathed. Burn my face away in the sands that see no sun, in the end. Half a man with less than none, in the end.

Turn You In

I am the one with the chains and shakes in my bones. The rain, in his wrath, casts stones in my path as I make my escape. I've staggered for days so I break for a breath by the lake with no name, and I wait. I wait for the lawman to come with the sound of the drum and his dumbfounded guns who all know what I've done; returned to a town I once called my own just to watch it burn. I fumbled around in the dirt and the death and I found what's at stake. It was you. It was you pulling me through. There's so many more... I want to turn you in to the sun, should it show. I've been here for so long and I'm told I'll be cold by the count. I'll be cold... I am the one with the face that glows in the black of the night, embraced by the smoke, so slowly it grows as fast as it bites. I've been shunned I've been shamed now I'm left to their aim by the lake with no name. It was you. It was you pulling me through. There's so many more... I want to turn you in. I'll be cold by the count, I'll be cold... I want to turn you in to the sun should it shows. I've been here for so long and I'm told I'll be cold by the count.

Inside The Rift

Stiff and dark between, your stubborn schemes, like a haze, hide your heart. It's always been 'the plaintiff and the dearly discarded.' Baby, brace yourself, there's no living inside the rift. You better pace yourself, yourself. What if we're stuck forever? I won't be chased back to your hold. This has just begun, you've run to the peak of a hill we don't speak of. You better brace yourself, there's no thrill beyond what you've done. What if we're stuck forever? I won't be chased back to your hold. You check out... What if we're stuck forever? I won't e chased back to your hold.

You Could

You look good, babe. You did all that you could when the badlands swallowed you whole and the sands spilled in, you stole his grin, hands up to the heavens in spite. You could walk me straight off the edge of the world. You look so good now, baby. You did all that you could. With your tongue in the rain and a sway to succumb to, he shook. He shook and he caved, and he took out his eyes for you and begged for his life. On his knees, "Baby, please, baby. Please." You could walk me straight off the edge of the world. So denied your devil dies. You look good in the rain. You could walk me straight off the edge of the world.

Into The Depths

We passed through the gates of famine and fault, looked high and kept low as we followed the cracks in the rolling road where the cold kings crowed as we crawled. The saints never said, "Save them." The stench on the wind drew us out to the edge of the deep blue bliss where we'd sleep in the mist but the waters were red and we coughed up what coins we had left. The saints never said, "Save them." We were stranded and sick, suffered endless disdain. No luck left to speak of, no life on our lips. The rolling road keeps on going till we're gone for good. The saints never said, "Save them." We dove into the depths of delusion and theft, no lights left to lead us away from our deaths. The rolling road keeps on going, and going. The rolling road keeps on going till we're gone for good. The saints never said, "Save them."

Witness Marks

There's a man with no face tracing his hand on my baby's door. No one knows where he's from, no one knows his name. There were guards at the gates with hounds by their sides. They let the man through with a wink and a smile, and it's high time they paid. We ease our way through the screams when the sun goes down. We scare ourselves back to sleep when the sun goes down. There's nothing you can do, there's nothing you can say, when the devil comes to ruin your life. The mark that he left is the talk of the town. The sound that she made echoes through the dark with each kink in his step as he walks away. He turns to say, "I expect you've heard of me, darling. My darling, it's high time you prayed." We ease our way through the screams when the sun goes down. We scare ourselves back to sleep when the sun goes down. There's nothing you can do, there's nothing you can say, when the devil comes to ruin your life. I will stay with you... "Stay with me."

Old Chills

I'm coming back to stay so low, so I swing. I swing... Picture me in a place I don't believe. I'd love to go back home but there's no such thing. With every spill tat stains me I'm shook. I'm staying down with old chills. I'm staying down in a sea of silver clouds to leave this place of doubt. I wave back to myself, astray, and I hear a clamor of curses, a death wish that worsens. I feel it stir, the shadow is crawling through. I can't lose what I can't see, I can see you.

Stop Screaming

Reeds like whips sway with the thunder, spurring waves to rise to your sides. Feel the hunger, fear the cold. Conjure folds across the skies. Feel the hunger, fear the cold. I'm still in love, stop screaming. You're never leaving me again. Stones like rain pour with the thunder, driving flames back to the ash in chains. Feel the hunger, fear the cold. Cross the folds of time and praise. Feel the hunger, fear the cold. I'm still in love, stop screaming. You're never leaving me again. Feel the hunger, fear the cold. I'm still in love, stop screaming. You're never leaving me again

Evil Deeds

Baby, nothing's stopping you as you shoot out the lights over thrones colored blue. I knew the cavernous call when you wept turned away. Hoping that someone would notice the joke, but they covered their eyes. Oh, no, I'm no good, I don't got what you need. There's no reason in joy, no reprisal for evil deeds like the ones that you know all too well, well oh well. I deem you burn through a lifetime. Burn through your lifetime. I don't know who I am anymore. Oh, no, I'm no good, I don't got what you need. There's no reason in joy, no reprisal for evil deeds like the ones that you know all too well, well oh well. Oh, can't kick it out of my head and it's a nightmare at best. You don't know what I mean when I tell you I've been wishing for death.

Aveline

Passed out in threes with the ash on the sheets, re-enacting a scene about nothing at all. In the place he's always been but never seen where he's going to pay for nothing at all. "If you trail by a dream, won't you stay a while?" Now his gaze comes to mind, darling, didn't you say the flames had climbed just to come back down. Wave your flag to the skies and believe there's nothing there, when he swears to you, "Nothing's true in this life." He's been slithering through while you were slipping away. You did him wrong, darling, didn't you? You've been quivering too... Darling, didn't you ever wonder why his touch felt so cold? "Aveline, when you shudder, is it me? is it me, Aveline?" Now he's begging you, "Let us bleed, Aveline. None shall tend to these wounds, I have sewed."

Running Fool

They like to twist stoned hairs, rustling remnants or romance. I know it's right there but it's so hard to find, until I fall through the glass hands that hold my mind. Wasn't it lovely before? They keep stealing my gold straight out of my hands, and I'm trying to hold onto anything I can. I'll do anything. Where does the distance begin, when does sickness set in? They cut into me deeper, and deeper, they creep through the flood to my core. Wasn't it lovely before I was born? They keep stealing my gold straight out of my hands, and I'm trying to hold onto anything I can. I'll do anything I can. I hate the cries... I will drown them tonight in the sea for you, I will. I'm a running fool, I got nothing. I will bury my head in the sea for you. I'm a desperate man. Am I alive? For what? For who? I'm a running fool.

Tale of The Red Rain

When the violent gale creaked through the walls, we hailed the night as the first come: Our Right To Be (more than a remedy), but we shook our might with the fear shouting from the clouds. I can't forget all the things you said. I believed it all. I can't forget the way it felt, the way you stripped me down and waited for my fall. I heard the telling of a red rain from some creep whistling at the barmaid. I read the ramblings of a dead man, so I tried to tell you what the pain makes, but couldn't make a sound.  I can't forget all the things you said. I believed it all. I can't forget the way it felt, the way you stripped me down and waited for my fall. I sat uncrowned, but my heart was bound.

Dead Queen

Hot dust belching from the craters on her face; hell's breath wraps my eyes like fire lace. Creating life from underneath her filthy finger nails, sent off like flies unto the frail (so frail). Descend, Dead Queen, we left the light behind to be content. Descend, Dead Queen, only she has seen the soul of a frightened man. She scratched the earth with crooked spider feet in the unholy grove where the terror of bare trees rises about and drives me to my knees. She says, "Nobody knows you like I do." Descend, Dead Queen, we left the light behind to be content. Descend, Dead Queen, only she has seen the soul of a frightened man.

Lonely War

Board up the blackened skies covering your eyes, singing, "I don't know you." Woke up enough to moan, crooked and alone. Promised to arrive soon. I and I will eat me alive, don't you cry, and if you decide who is who, like I am I, and you were you (and who ever knew), don't you cry. It's a lonely war.

Nine Years

Trees split in Lion's teeth. He picked all the splinters free only to be sent back into the thick with a crack of the whip and another dead link added to his chains. Nine years too heavy. Nine years: too much to care. Nine years too heavy. Nine years in the pits of hell, the beast and himself. "Ha! Higher beast! Reach! Reach to the top where the leaves are hiding the good stuff," screams the chief. Lion bites, boughs break, the pain is the same. Lion likes the taste so he swallows it whole cause he knows there's a dark boar deep inside. Nine years too heavy. Nine years: too much to care. Nine years too heavy. Nine years in the pits of hell, the beast and himself. Deep hollow, trapped in his sorrows. Nine years in the pits of hell.
